Chelsea will reportedly rival the duo of Manchester United and Liverpool for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho in the summer. This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Express.
Manchester United were interested in signing Sancho from Borussia Dortmund last summer but they were unable to meet the £108m price tag slammed on the England international by the German Bundesliga giants. Borussia Dortmund will lower the transfer fee for Sancho this summer as he has just two years left to run on his current deal at the SignaIduna Park.
The aforementioned report stated that Chelsea would be ready to offer one of Spanish international KepaArrizabalaga, England national team player Tammy Abraham and German attacker Timo Werner in a bid to sign Sancho this summer.
Chelsea signed KepaArrizabalagain a club-record deal of £72m from Spanish La Liga club Athletic Bilbao and he was the first choice goalkeeper at the club until the arrival of Edouard Mendy last summer. He could fancy a move to Borussia Dortmund this summer. At the age of 26, Kepa would want to return to playing regularly at club level and German Bundesliga giants Dortmund could offer him that regular berth.
For Tammy Abraham, he has hardly had a look in with Thomas Tuchel as the Chelsea manager and he’s on course to be moved on in the summer. He has been linked with the Premier League duo of Leicester City and West Ham United.
Lastly, Timo Werner could be on his way out of Chelsea if they sign a new striker this summer. The German has not hit the heights expected in his first season at Stamford Bridge following his £50m move from RB Leipzig last summer. Chelsea have been linked with Borussia Dortmund hitman ErlingHaaland.
